There鈥檚 a difference between a friendly rivalry and a deeply toxic, unproductive, and adversarial relationship. Virginia Tech and University of Virginia have a friendly rivalry. The Democrats and Republicans in Congress have a deeply toxic, unproductive, and adversarial relationship. I recen…

To anyone paying attention, our nation is in crisis. Donald Trump and his minions are stripping federal agencies of essential employees, to the detriment of the safety, health and financial security of all Americans. They are coercing these federal agencies, along with the military, the Smit…
Recently I attend a rally in Christiansburg that was held across the street from the Trump Store. The rally was attended by close to 150 people; each person had a sign which told their story of what has been going on in this country for the last 60 days.
Those fake businesses, created to fraudulently absorb the federal Payroll Protection Program funding have hurt many legitimate businesses that were unable to receive that funding.
The media should stop calling political figures 鈥淩epublican鈥 if they do not uphold the values of our republic.
