Ronald Edward Rocke Sr., 85, of Boones Mill, Va., passed away on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.
He was born in Botetourt County and graduated from Troutville High School in 1958.
Ron married Jenny in May of 1966. He loved his family furiously and enjoyed traveling and weekends at Smith Mountain Lake waterskiing and relaxing with friends and family.
Ron was a devoted member of Red Valley Methodist Church in Boones Mill, Va.
He was employed as a Terminal Manager for Consolidated Freightways until he retired.
A loving husband and father, Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Gladys Rocke and son, Samual Todd Rocke.
Ron is survived by his wife, Virginia "Jenny" Rocke; their beloved pet, a West Highland Terrier, Henry; his sons, John Dye and his wife, Beth, and Ronald "Ed" Rocke Jr. and his wife, Tammy; his brother, Warren Rocke and his wife, Betty; grandchildren, Joshua Tenda, Sabra Dye, and Breanna Brower; and great-grandchildren, Harley and Houston Tenda, Elaina Carr, Novaly Fuller, Wesley and Colter Brower.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Red Valley United Methodist Church, 30 Red Valley Road, Boones Mill, VA 24065 with a reception to follow. Condolences may be shared with his family by visiting .
